Flourish Support Collective was founded in Ocean Shores with a simple belief: people deserve disability support that feels personal, consistent and genuinely caring — not like a transaction with a large, impersonal company.
As a Registered Nurse-led provider, clinical quality and safety sit quietly underneath everything we do. But what participants and families notice first is something simpler: we know their name, we show up when we say we will, and the same familiar faces keep coming through the door.
We employ local support workers from across the Northern Rivers — Ocean Shores, Brunswick Heads, Mullumbimby, Byron Bay and surrounds — and we match them thoughtfully with each participant, because the right relationship is where good support begins.

"Hi, I'm Bonnie — a Registered Nurse, educator, mum of three and the founder of Flourish Support Collective."
Throughout my career in nursing and healthcare education, I've seen the difference that skilled, consistent and genuinely caring support can make in someone's life. I also saw an opportunity to create something more personal: a service where people feel known, listened to and comfortable with the people coming into their homes and lives.
That's why I created Flourish.
My vision is to build a small, highly skilled local team that combines professional standards with genuine human connection. We take the time to understand each participant — their goals, routines, preferences, personality and the things that matter to them — and carefully match them with support workers who fit.
As a Registered Nurse and TAFE health educator, training and quality are incredibly important to me. I want our support workers to feel confident, capable and well supported, and our participants and their families to know they can rely on the people caring for them.
Flourish is proudly based in the Northern Rivers, and there's something really special to me about building a service around local people supporting local people.
Ultimately, I want Flourish to feel less like a service provider and more like a trusted part of your support network — professional when it matters, warm always, and centred around helping you live life your way.
